The Animal Kingdom

There are some great books that have been imaged/digitized over at The Internet Archives.  Their Biodiversity Heritage Library This one has some incredible books with beautiful scientific illustrations.

For example:

The animal kingdom, arranged according to its organization, serving as a foundation for the natural history of animals : and an introduction to comparative anatomy (1834)

(remember to breath while reading that.)

One problem.  The interface is great for reading online, flipping pages like a real book.  The only problem is getting an actual image out of it.  So I have to actually give you the link
